Norway's right to roam allows camping on uncultivated land for two nights in one spot, at least 150 metres from inhabited houses. Respect fences, crops, and posted restrictions.
Trail Tips
- Choose durable ground — gravel, pine needle forest floor, established sites.
- Camp out of sight of trails and farms when possible.
- No fires on bare rock or peat; use established fire rings where allowed.
- Pack out all waste including food scraps.
- In Sweden and Finland, rules differ slightly — check local landowner guidance.

- Lightweight tent with good storm pitching.
- Sleeping pad rated for ground temperature.
- Dry bags for gear in wet Nordic nights.
